This workshop will take place at Fat Fox Mushrooms' base in Walthamstow, where we will get a deep dive into the technicalities and life cycles of growing mushrooms at home, a fun tour of their mushroom growing workshop, a practical workshop where we begin to cultivate our own fungi, and a take-home kit of materials that we use around UCL's campus to continue our mushroom madness.

The workshop covers fungi lifecycle & ecology, types of growing mediums, supplementation, pasteurization temperatures, inoculation, fruiting, troubleshooting a step-by-step demonstration and a Q + A. Fat Fox Mushrooms will even throw in tips about options for growing mushrooms in urban areas into their presentation & discussion. The fantastic thing about mushrooms is that you can grow them in so many spots. From a small bedsit, to a disused alley, to a large shared office space. Pretty much anywhere with indirect sunlight that is indoors or shielded from the wind will work!
