About the event

Michael Stuart will lead us on a walk for ah hour to find a surprising number of edible plants and weeds (some tastier than others). Learn and share the basics of how to forage and taste some of the plants we pass every day in London. Hear some of the stories behind these plants which humans have eaten for thousands of years but mostly forgotten.

Meet outside the Our Yard Cafe, Clitterhouse Farm Outbuildings.

Michael Stuart is an urban forager from Kilburn.  He started foraging in his 50s through local community projects and has led walks for Capital Growth and New York University in London.

He enjoys thinking he can find something to eat within 5 metres anywhere in London, contemplating how our ancestors evolved, the relaxation that comes with foraging, and getting something for free.
